2012 Mazda RX 8 Spirit R

MAZDA RX-8 SPIRIT R

Summer 2012, which is the period when finally the latest Mazdas RX-8 will be produced. To the Japanese sporting honor, brings the brand one last, special version of the car: the Spirit R, just as the last set of Mazdas RX-7.

Both the manual RX-8 (Type RS) as the version with an automatic six-speed gearbox (Type E) starting November 24 as Spirit R be delivered, but only in the homeland of Mazda . Both are equipped with among others a Spirit R badge, red brake calipers, a piano black transmission tunnel and extra airbags as standard. The manual version is on 19-inch wheels, the machine has to do with 18-inch wheels.

In addition, the seat of the self-switching Spirit R rider in special Recaro bucket seats, while the interior of a Spirit R with automatic comes in black leather with red stitching. The second variant is also characterized by means of a larger sports suspension and brakes. About a possible successor to the RX-8 is still little known, although Mazda does show still busy with the ongoing development of the rotary engine.

On the occasion of the completion of the production of Mazda RX-8 the company released a limited "farewell" version of the Mazda RX-8 Spirit R. In June 2012, Mazda stops production of this car. Model released in three colors: black, white and silver. Exterior design differs BBS wheels tan, red brake calipers and black trim headlights. The interior of the cabin is dominated by black and red. Recaro sports seats upholstered in black and red leather.

2012 Mazda RX 9

2012 Mazda RX-9: Mazda produced the RX-7 from 1978 to 2002 and, compared to the RX-8, it did very well. Now, after almost ten years, the Japanese company will bring back the RX-7 DNA with the launch of a new sports car called the RX-9. And, however chronologically deficient it may be, the RX-9 is being made as a successor to the RX-7 and not the RX-8. We should be seeing this new model hit the streets as soon as the RX-8 bids adieu to the market.

The RX-9 is rumored to be built in the image of the most recent RX-7, the highly regarded version championed by the legendary "Koby" Kobayakawa, which went out of production in 2002. And, unlike the RX-8, it will be a two-door coupe model and not a complicated four-door coupe. Under the hood, Mazda will place the now famous 16X rotary engine. The new sports car will be built on an MX-5 chassis and will weigh no more than 1250 kilos, with a design language stemming from the companys latest concept cars, including the Shinari which made its debut only two months ago.
